Abe is growing up so quickly. He is less baby and more big boy each day. I love spending time with him - laughing and smiling are my favorite.
Yesterday, I realized that Abram’s feelings would eventually be hurt by another person. That thought grew into the thought of anything unfortunate, unfair or unhappy happening to him. I suddenly felt helpless as a parent and fearful of the future. I won’t be able to shelter and comfort and protect Abram in every single situation.
But I know God loves my Abram and has his best interests in mind. He will be there when unfortunate things do happen. So, I can trust God, let that fear of the future go and move forward confidently as a parent.

Abram doesn’t like hats, but when he has pants on his head, it’s a different story! He knows Mom and Dad get such a kick out of it, so he plays right along. Look at his big chin and those chubby cheeks.

We visited Kansas City last week and drove out of town to see my Dad’s side of the family. My uncle Max lives on hundreds of acres of wide open land - far away from civilization.
This photo was taken on June 14, 2010 in Max’s front yard. Abram loves his mommy.
Here’s a flashback to February 25, 2010. Look how little Abram is! Cori and I still can’t stand the amount of cuteness power he beholds.
Abram is 8 months old! Such a handsome boy. Always quick to smile.

Ruby (Abram’s cousin) did this to Abe the other day. So cute. Thanks for posting the photo, Jess!

Abram has his own keyboard now, so he can be just like Daddy :)

Abram turned 7 months on Saturday. He’s growing up to a be a big boy. We spent the weekend in Yorkville and had an awesome time with the family.
I can’t explain how much I love Abram. He pulls on my heart-strings like no one else does. I want to give him the best possible life he can live. I want to give him everything because I love him so much.
